INDIANAPOLIS (March 26, 2014)Klipsch, a leading global speaker and headphone manufacturer, today announces its official sponsorship of Rize Gaming, a professional eSports organization out of the U.K. The new partnership will result in Rize Gaming wearing the brand’s new KG-200 gaming headphones as well as branded apparel at many eSports events throughout 2014, with the first being the Copenhagen Games in April.

The wired Klipsch KG-200 offers the Rize team a headset that provides superior sound quality engineered specifically for gaming. Equipped with legendary Klipsch Reference signature sound and four selectable EQ presets (Fidelity, Combat, Stealth and Sport), the KG-200 headset delivers optimized sound for every game type. Breathable mesh ear pads that are comfortable for long term wear and easily-accessible buttons for controlling EQ, chat volume, game volume and mic monitor, will give the Rize Gaming team an added advantage in the competitions.

“Because eSports is experiencing significant growth around the globe, we are fortunate to partner with an established team like Rize Gaming as we strive to better the experience for gaming enthusiasts everywhere,” said Meredith Roney, headphone marketing manager for Klipsch. “As a sponsor, we are committed to supporting the team with hardware while following their achievements both on and offline. We look forward to being a part of their gaming success into the future.”

“Klipsch is renowned for having strong roots in the high-end audio space,” said Mike Reynolds, director of Rize Gaming. “When the brand’s gaming headsets were revealed, we knew Klipsch had the experience and technological innovation to offer a product that makes a difference. Rize Gaming aspires to be among the elite teams in eSports, and the title-holding individuals on the team are delighted to have them as a sponsor and will proudly wear the KG-200 headsets and branded garments at upcoming tournaments.”

The Copenhagen Games will see over 100 eSports teams compete against each other across a variety of game tournaments from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO), Starcraft and League of Legends to Fifa. Rize gaming’s CSGO team will go through several elimination processes until they are down to the final eight. Making it into the final eight means a cash reward for the teams, and then they go on to compete for the winning purse of nearly $36,000 per team.
