Heresy III Special Edition

Heresy III Floorstanding Speaker - Special Edition Matte Black

Klipsch is proud to unveil a special edition of the iconic Heresy III speaker. Featuring a Matte Black finish and a Titanium Finish grille cloth, this edition of the Heresy III will only be produced in limited quantities.

First introduced in 1957, the Heresy, a three-way design, started out as a compact center channel speaker to accompany the Klipschorn® in three-speaker stereo arrays. Because of its relatively "compact" size, this model offers the greatest degree of placement flexibility in the Heritage Series line.

Icons Never Go Out of Style

A Little Heresy Is Good for the Soul

When the Heresy speaker came onto the scene, it further distinguished Klipsch as The Great American Speaker Company and the go-to for premium home audio. Since it's inception in 1957, we’ve never stopped making this legendary speaker. Like a fine wine, the Heresy and Klipsch keep improving with time.

Priceless

The subdued, deep Matte Black of the Special Edition Heresy III is achieved through an intense, 14-step process with three layers of priming and sanding to achieve an ultimate, smooth matte finish.

At the same time, the special edition Titanium finish grille cloth has a satin luster sheen that changes dynamically as you move around the speaker.

Even if you never turn them on, they are the first thing someone notices in a room — and when you do turn them on, their clean, crisp sound can impress even the most discerning speaker aficionados.

Sensitivity and Efficiency

The Heresy III offers a 99 dB sensitivity, delivering smooth, dynamic and low distortion, while using less power than other similarly-sized speakers.

With cabinetry proudly handcrafted in Hope, Arkansas for over 50 years, the Klipsch Heresy III speaker is a testament to the quality Klipsch demands from each and every one of its audio products.

They Said He Couldn't...

...But He Did It Anyway

When Paul W. Klipsch was developing a smaller speaker for use between two Klipschorns, an acquaintance declared he couldn't possibly introduce it to the public because it was in direct violation of the corner horn principles and amounted to "acoustic heresy."

"The hell I can't," Mr. Klipsch said. "And that's exactly what I'm going to call it!"

A year later, the Klipsch Heresy loudspeaker was introduced and, ironically, became a bestseller in the church-sound reinforcement market.

Today's Heresy

In 1985, we made some changes and improvements to this model and re-released it as the Heresy II. Today, the Heresy III has a more powerful woofer, a bi-wire network, and a titanium diaphragm tweeter with a larger magnet assembly. The midrange compression driver also features a new titanium diaphragm.

In addition to delivering smooth, dynamic and low distortion sound, the Heresy III is available in a high-quality cherry, walnut or black ash wood veneer finish. Included is a slant riser base for floor placement that can be removed for cabinet installations.

Please note: Klipsch Heritage Series products are built to order, with cabinets handmade in the US at our Hope, Arkansas manufacturing facility. Choose "standard shipping" and allow up to 8 weeks turnaround time.
