Klipsch Audio Powers John Varvatos Classic Album Sundays Listening Event
INDIANAPOLIS (October 20, 2014) — Klipsch, a leading global speaker and headphone manufacturer, recently participated in an exclusive vinyl listening event in partnership with Classic Album Sundays, an organization dedicated to sharing the stories behind noteworthy albums and orchestrating in-depth vinyl listening sessions, and men’s fashion designer John Varvatos. Klipsch’s Heritage Series La Scala speakers delivered the audiophile-quality sound to ensure a powerful, detailed and emotional experience.
In Toronto on October 17, the private session brought together the city’s local tastemakers and influencers to enjoy Led Zeppelin’s album “Led Zeppelin II”. Presenting the album was renowned music producer Eddie Kramer, who has worked alongside acts that include Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and more. Kramer also took over Klipsch’s Twitter account that day, answering fan questions for those who tweet with hashtag #AskEddieKramer.
“Klipsch is proud and honored to have been a part of this grand event,” said Matt Sommers, vice president of marketing for Klipsch. “The whole package was ideal. Our loudspeakers are exceptionally suited to the immaculate reproduction of quality audio, due to their high efficiency and sensitivity. The Varvatos brand is a perfect fit for our ‘No Bullshit’ attitude. Classic Album Sundays always provides a one-of-a-kind experience with in-depth interviews and amazing gear. Having a studio master like Eddie Kramer walk us through producing Led Zeppelin classics like ‘Whole Lotta Love’, and then hearing the track played on our legendary speakers, was the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll experience. This session was mind-blowing.”
As a partner of Classic Album Sundays, Klipsch’s Heritage Series La Scala speakers also power its monthly vinyl listening sessions at Brooklyn nightclub Baby’s All Right. The brand has also served as the presenting sponsor of Classic Album Sundays’ special vinyl listening sessions at this year’s Camp Bestival and Bestival music festivals in the UK.
First launched in 1963 as founder Paul W. Klipsch’s second product introduction, the La Scala is a fully horn-loaded, three-way speaker. It provides Klipschorn-like performance from a smaller cabinet that does not require a corner location. To ensure the utmost quality, the speaker is still hand-built upon order at Klipsch’s Hope, Arkansas manufacturing facility.
