THE YEAR IN REVIEW

Britney is free. Adele came back. Tiger King could’ve stayed away and we would’ve all been just fine.

Perhaps more importantly, Klipsch turned 75 years young.

Much like its predecessor, 2021 was a year unlike any other for many reasons, both good and bad. We’re reviewing the year 2021 and showing off not only some of the amazing products we brought to the masses but our favorite music to listen to on Klipsch.

75 YEAR OF ROCK N' ROLL

For us, we celebrated 75 years of the most powerful, best speakers on Earth. Founder Paul W. Klipsch began our company in a tiny tin shed in 1946. We’re still here and kicking ass even harder than before.

This year, we released the highly-acclaimed T5 II Active Noise Canceling Earphones and the T5 II Active Noise Canceling Earphones McLaren Edition. Not only that, we expanded our partnership with McLaren F1 Racing to debut the McLaren Fives powered speakers.

Last, and certainly not least, the lauded Cinema 800 and 1200 Dolby Atmos Sound Bars. Both sound bars feature best-in-class subwoofers, a dedicated center channel and HDMI-ARC, making them an easy plug-and-play upgrade to your TV speakers.

We successfully launched our first book, Klipsch 75 Years - A Pictorial History, a 12”x12” full-color coffee table book, this 200-page tome chronicles the entire history of Klipsch in photos.

We also launched the limited edition 75th anniversary Klipschorns. They feature a fully enclosed low-frequency horn cabinet, offering more placement versatility in the listening room as the enclosure functions as a corner, delivering powerful bass performance and improved imaging. A 1” titanium tweeter and 90° x 40° Tractrix® horn extend the output of high frequencies beyond 20kHz.

Designed and engineered in the US, these very special Klipschorns also feature a nostalgic 75th logo on the front of the speaker with a natural 2mm diamond to accentuate the specially designed logo made of sterling silver, hand-applied enamel, and rhodium plating.

Not too shabby right?

BEST MUSIC ON KLIPSCH OF 2021

We admit this is an informal poll, but who better to pick their faves of the past year than Klipsch employees themselves. We are nothing if not a discerning bunch.

For me, this was my favorite thing to listen to via my T5 II McLaren Sport headphones: Isle of Wight’s Wet Leg.

The Fives are a win - fool-proof setup, ease of connectivity, & instant gratification - BIG SOUND, BIG ATTITUDE, without all of the B.S. Check out Carolyn Wonderland's Swamp.- Brittainy Kelley, Social Media Manager, Indianapolis

“By far the music experience has really stood out for my 2 channel RP-5000F set up! A couple of my favorite artists to listen to include Maganas Garden and Gill Chang. My setup provides crisp mids and highs and a kickin' bass response!” - Liam Chamberlain, Coordinator of Technical Information, Indianapolis

“Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker because the instruments are so clear that I feel like I am in a theater watching that ballet.” - Cecelia Shaulis, Paralegal, Indianapolis

“My home office is set up with R-51PM's + SW-450. My go to song this year has been Momento Mori by Lamb of God. That breakdown punches you in the face every time. It's always a good boost to push through on those long days.” - Travis Turner, Senior Director of Global Customer Care and Metal Expert, Indianapolis

“Tiesto’s The Business. Such a great song, such an unusual music video, and most of all, it sounds incredible through my Klipsch System and it was the soundtrack of Klipsch Australia in 2021!” -Daniel Troy, Marketing Manager, Australia

“Schiller - Sensucht Live 2008 in Cologne was my go-to this year.” - Klaus Boedige, Engineer, Cologne, Germany

“The Dune soundtrack blew me away with its ambient drones, lush soundscape, and deep, low-frequency sound effects. Captivating to hear and watch this beautiful film. I can't wait for part II!” - Matt Sommers, Senior Global Creative Director, Indianapolis

GIVING BACK

Klipsch and Premium Audio Company are built on a foundation of giving back to our communities at the local and global levels. We were proud to team up with the Indianapolis-based Patachou Foundation, a farm-to-table non-profit offering, “Access, equity, and opportunity for food, the Patachou Foundation prepares and serves healthy meals to children facing food insecurity. At the same time, the Patachou Foundation provides educational programs to combat hunger and teach children about cooking and the farming and restaurant industries.”

As part of #GivingTuesday, Premium Audio Company raised $75,000. That money will be used to help feed children in the greater Indianapolis area through a variety of low-cost, healthy options.
