Behind the Scenes: Klipsch Employees Share Their Home Theaters and Work-from-Home Setups
Welcome to a peek behind the curtain at Klipsch Audio! We’re excited to showcase the home theaters and work-from-home setups of our very own employees. Whether you’re an audiophile looking to upgrade your audio experience or someone trying to create the perfect work environment, you’ll find inspiration in these setups.
Austin Power, System Quality Analyst – Zone 1: The Movie Buff
Setup Highlights: As bold as my setup might be for the size of my living room, I absolutely love how the walnut Reference Premiere speakers look no matter where they’re placed. The copper cones really shine during the daytime! I’ve been a fan of Klipsch long before I joined the team. In college, I saved up to buy a budget Onkyo receiver and a pair of RP-150M’s. Those bookshelf speakers have traveled with me across the country twice over the past six years, and they still sound as amazing as the day I unboxed them. Sure, they have some dings and scratches, but they continue to perform beautifully as my surround speakers in the living room.
Favorite Listening Experience: Those RP subs honestly give me a bit of a scare! When watching Dune Part 2, any scene with a sandworm makes me worry my windows are going to explode. But after some careful calibration, I’ve managed to get them to deliver full-sounding, controlled bass without fearing my foundation will fall apart.
All in all, this entire system is fantastic. I feel a real sense of pride whenever I have friends or family over to enjoy a movie. It’s like having a mini movie theater in my home, and I have our amazing team at Klipsch to thank for that!

Austin Power, System Quality Analyst – Zone 2: The Gamer
Setup Highlights: It’s a shame we don’t make wired headphones anymore. The HP-3s, while not the most neutral for their price point, are an absolute joy to listen to. Their semi-open design provides a nice soundstage, delivering crisp, shimmering highs and tight bass.
However, the X20i’s are the true gems of my collection. They’re nearly impossible to find now, and replacement cables are even rarer. But for their time, they were incredibly impressive in-ears. With a dual balanced armature design, they produce a unique and pleasant sound that I want to take with me everywhere.
Using both the HP-3 and X20i with the HP Amp is a dream setup. This headphone amp is in a league of its own—not only does it sound fantastic, but its aesthetic is unmatched.
Favorite Listening Experience: This setup may be overkill for Teams meetings, but when it comes to gaming and listening to music, I can’t imagine wanting anything else.

Favorite Listening Experience: There’s nothing quite like immersing myself in my favorite albums. Whether it’s classic rock or modern jazz, the clarity and depth of sound from my Klipsch speakers make every listening session a true delight. I love the way music fills the room and creates an incredible atmosphere.

Tips for Creating Your Own Setup
1. Incorporate Quality Sound:
Invest in a sound system that suits both your space and listening preferences. Consider factors like room size, speaker placement, and whether you prefer a soundbar, bookshelf speakers, or a full surround sound system. For music lovers, prioritize high-fidelity options that reproduce sound accurately. If you're a movie enthusiast, look for systems that deliver immersive audio, enhancing the cinematic experience.
2. Personalize Your Space:
Make your setup reflect your personality and style. Consider adding decorative elements such as posters of your favorite bands, artwork that inspires you, or unique furniture that complements the audio gear. Lighting is also key—dim, adjustable lighting can create the perfect atmosphere for listening. Plants or other decorative accents can bring warmth and character to your space, making it inviting for both relaxation and entertaining.
3. Balance Work and Play:
If you’re working from home, it’s essential to create a space that fosters productivity while allowing for enjoyable audio experiences. Choose a dedicated area where you can easily transition from work mode to relaxation mode. Consider integrating a quality sound system that can double as your work music setup. Use versatile furniture, like a desk that can accommodate your audio gear without clutter, and keep your space organized to maintain focus during work hours while ensuring it's cozy for downtime.
4. Experiment with Acoustic Treatment:
If you're serious about sound quality, consider adding acoustic panels or soundproofing elements to your room. These can help minimize unwanted echoes and improve the clarity of your audio. Bookshelves, rugs, and curtains can also contribute to better sound by absorbing excess reverberation.
5. Stay Updated on Tech:
Technology evolves rapidly, so keep an eye on the latest advancements in audio equipment. From new streaming services to upgraded speakers, being informed can help you make better choices for your setup. Don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations or try out new gear that might enhance your experience.
6. Create a Comfortable Listening Environment:
Ensure your seating is comfortable and conducive to long listening sessions. Arrange your furniture in a way that invites relaxation and conversation. Consider the layout of your space—angle your speakers for optimal sound and ensure there’s enough room to move around comfortably.
Whether you're crafting the ultimate home theater or just trying to improve your work-from-home experience, there’s plenty of inspiration to draw from our Klipsch team. Dive into the world of audio and create a setup that brings you joy!
